Lord's Prayer: Day One

This week we are walking through the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6. We will take each of the five sections a day at a time and walk this out in our own prayer lives together as a church.

Today we start with keeping God's name holy! We do this by remembering who we are addressing! God is not our errand boy. God is not the celestial prayer gumball machine. He is the Creator, Redeemer, Savior, Holy One, Rescuer, and so many other titles! We keep His name holy by remembering we work in His Kingdom -- not the other way around!
One of the suggestions in the video is to write a haiku to God's Holy Name! Do you remember the rules to haiku poetry? Three lines of prose: 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables.

Thank you for this lesson. I just watched #1 with Clayton. The 3 minute time limit promise helped convince him to pull himself off of his computer. Baby steps, any forward progress is encouraging. Thank you so much!
