Life Lab Launch 9/8/2020

Are you a rule follower? Some people like to know where the line is so they can cross it and  some people like to know where the line is so that they can obey the rules, which type of person are you? Does it matter who is making the rules to whether or no you obey?

It seems like the Pharisees were more concerned with the rules or laws than they were about people. When you become ultra concerned with the rules you can start to be more concerned with people following the rules rather than the people themselves. Many time this can get cloaked behind religion or morality. As followers of Jesus I think we are to find moderation because when it come to scripture the rules are important and people are important.
Read: Hebrews 4:1-13
The sabbath was one of the rules but it was given with the purpose of rest for his people. Hebrews gives is a good view of the sabbath for Christian life. What does the sabbath rest look like for Christians? What significance is there in God resting on the seventh day of creation? What rest do you think the author of Hebrews is talking about?

Do you think God gets glory through our sabbath resting? How are you doing with resting this week?

There was confusion in our group with this week's content. I went to watch the sermon again so we could better understand and the app wouldn't run it and it wasn't running on YouTube either.
